Bridal Sessions are sometimes my favorite….but I have a lot of favorites.

October 3, 2013

Today is one of those days where I just want to sit and look at pretty wedding photos online. It’s a lazy kind of day. I have a lot I need to get done, hence why I am blogging. It’s been on my to-do list for a while. I’ve finished editing 3 out of the 4 weddings I’ve done this past month, so I figured it was time for a blog post. Two more weddings coming up this weekend and then I catch a break before the next one at the end of the month. I’ve been really excited to share what all I’ve been doing with whom ever reads this blog. There have been some truly amazing weddings that I have had the pleasure of photographing over the past month. So today I’ll start by sharing a gorgeous bridal session. When Nina McKenzie first got in touch with me and told me that she was having her wedding at a plantation in the country I was hooked already. That’s really all I needed to hear. Then I found out we had some things in common like zombies and church. Bet you didn’t quite expect to see those two words in the same sentence. I could go into more detail about how you can go to church and like zombies, but that’s a whole other blog discussion. I’ll stick to pretty pictures and keeping things light here. : ) So needless to say I was pretty stoked to be chosen to photograph Nina’s wedding and on top of that she wanted a bridal session at the plantation as well. My husband and I set off on a Saturday afternoon to travel to Garnett, South Carolina to photograph Nina in her stunning, Gown Boutique of Charleston wedding dress. Stunning really isn’t even the word for it. It suited her and fit her so well. It was definitely HER dress. The lace detail on the back was quite fantastic. Beth at Wildflowers Inc whipped up a sweet bouquet for us to use for her shoot.  She can always be counted on to make a stunner of a bouquet.  The weather that Saturday was quite perfect—still not the Fall coolness that we’ve all been longing for—but it wasn’t the ridiculous heat that we’re used to either. The plantation was beautifully complete with it’s tall oak trees, iron gate, and cute house with a wrap around porch. As for Nina, she was gorgeous as always. Take a look….
