Morgan and Austin’s John’s Island Wedding

December 11, 2013

This year I have had the honor and privilege of photographing some weddings in unique places. I love traveling and I love Charleston weddings but when a wedding takes me to a family home of either the bride or the groom it’s always a fun and unique experience. This John’s Island wedding was set at the groom’s parent’s home on the water. It was a gorgeous location for a wedding and allowed for several beautiful backdrops for photos. When I first met up with Morgan she told me she saw my photo on a billboard for the Charleston Bridal show. That was pretty exciting for me to hear. Morgan was super laid back and chill about her wedding which I love and she’s got the most gorgeous eyes! I took one look at her and thought, I cannot wait to photograph this bride! Morgan was stunning to say the least in her wedding dress. The whole wedding party looked great in their shades of khaki and taupe with a touch of mint green in the groomsmen’s ties—love it! Tiger Lily did a spectacular job on the simple but elegant bouquets (probably my favorites of the year) and Sapphire Event Planning did an marvelous job executing Morgan’s burlap and green details throughout the decor.  The seafood that was served at the reception was caught right off the very dock that they were married on. I just love little personal details like that. This wedding was filled with scenic views personal touches, a homey rustic feel and tons fun!  Take a look!
