I have a charming Charleston wedding to share with you today. I first met Joseph (the groom and super cool dude) through a friend named Steve who has a great audio visual company called Fox Audio Visual. Joseph happens to work with Steve at Fox. (Sidenote: if you ever need any kind of sound equipment, lighting and staging, video…and so much more—then these are the guys you want to hire fo sho!) Joseph and Julia had their beautiful and intimate wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens on a Wednesday. I have to say I rather liked a midweek wedding. I’m so used to my weeks leading up to weddings on the weekends that it was nice to break up the week with one. Julia and Joseph have a great story of how they met a long time ago. I’ll butcher the story for sure, you’ll have to ask them. 🙂 When Joseph first approached me about his wedding I was thrilled to find out that they were interested in doing a “First Look”! If you don’t already know I am a super huge fan of them for SOOOO many reasons that I won’t get into here because I intend to write a whole blog post on it. It definitely allowed us the time to take beautiful photos around the plantation. Their wedding day was a hot one per usual in Charleston, but it didn’t stop them from hopping on a golf cart to take photos around the gardens and getting married under a fabulous oak tree near the carriage house where their reception was held. Their wedding was a hit complete with a live stream feed (provided by Fox of course ) of the wedding to the Ukraine where Julia’s family could watch. I had a lot of fun at their wedding! Great food, dancing, and so much joy! It was an honor getting to capture it all.
