Well it’s cold and rainy out and I am supposed to be cleaning the house. But naturally I am editing photos instead. : ) I have been quite busy over the past month and a half. Yes, that’s right I believe we are almost half way through November. I cannot believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Where does the time go? Speaking of time and it flying by. I got to photograph two beautiful babies this week. It’s amazing watching babies grow—they grow so fast—I cannot stress enough the importance of having them photographed. It’s important that we all have portraits taken as often as possible, but babies are ever changing as they grow into their new selves. Photographing these babies this week was quite a treat because I so rarely photograph babies. To all of you full-time baby photographers out there, I salute you!! It’s not an easy job and its not for everyone, but it is amazing and quite rewarding! I had the honor of photographing 6 month old baby Harper in her grandmas christening gown and 5 day old Baby Lucas. It’s amazing what babies can do in just 6 months and it’s equally amazing what they cannot do when first born. Harper was quite fascinated by sounds and expressions and wanted to roll around and reach for things. Lucas, not interested in his surroundings at all, just wanted to stay warm, sleep, eat and repeat. They grow up so fast, they learn new things everyday. If you have kids, hold onto these times as best as you can and as long as you can, make every moment count and remember the moments. Capture them as often as you can even if it’s with your phone. These are precious times that can be stressful in some ways, but can also be rewarding, challenging, fun, and make for great lasting memories. I am not a parent so I can’t begin to know what it’s truly like to be one. What I can do is offer up a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure. : ) I introduce to you Baby Lucas and Baby Harper.
