This has been THE year of weddings. I have had the absolute pleasure of photographing some of the most beautiful and unique weddings this year! Don’t get me wrong everyone’s wedding is beautiful! This year has been a busy one and I couldn’t be more thankful for all the wonderful brides and grooms that chose me to capture their most precious day. I’ve been all over Charleston, ventured 2 hours into the country, and took a trip to Wilmington and Columbia this year to photograph these various weddings. It’s been an adventure for sure. I plan to blog about most of the weddings. Yes, that’s right—I’ve said it—now I have to do it. I wrote a blog about the first wedding of the year. You can read about it here. The next wedding took me to a ridiculously cool venue in Columbia, SC. 701 Whaley is not your average wedding venue. What was once a store for the mill area of Columbia and later a popular community center for the mill workers, has now become a gorgeous wedding venue complete with high ceilings, wood floors, and lovely aged textured walls. Shanna (the bride) contacted me about her Columbia wedding—which I was excited about. Having never heard of the venue I immediately looked it up and of course fell in love. Shanna and Nimai’s wedding was held in two parts of this building—both of which make for beautiful spaces for events. Their wedding was gorgeous and lots of fun. They are two of the sweetest people and I could not be happier or more honored to have spent the day capturing their beautiful wedding and getting to know them a little.
And here’s where I about lost it…he prayed before he kissed her!! So sweet! I hold it together pretty well at weddings but this caught me off guard.
