The Lovely Giveaway has been a huge success.  At least in my book. I never knew the extent to which this contest would attract people and grow in a matter of two weeks. With over 5,000 votes and tons of comments this contest got lots of traffic. It was amazing to watch the comments roll in about how a couple in the military deserved such a gift. It renewed my spirits a little. Gave me a bit of hope that this world isn’t all criminals and bad things happening. You watch enough news, read too many FB posts and listen to talk radio like I’ve done, you’d think the same thing. I know it seems a tad silly and maybe a bit sappy, but I truly was inspired by the voting and commenting going on. So much that I cannot wait to do my next contest. If you didn’t get a chance to read the comments, here’s the post. Not only did I feel good about the whole thing but this idea that I was the one giving such a gift was a bit mind blowing. Here I thought—oh it’s just wedding photography—no big deal I do that all the time. But the fact that now I am getting to honor someone in the military in a really cool way that I had never expected is just super cool. So let me get to the point of today’s blog post.
