This Charleston Wedding had some lovely gold details and a lot of laughs…
Kerry and Patrick met while Kerry was volunteering at one of the runs that Patrick had put together in their town. Kerry after the event, contacted Patrick to talk about running…but she wasn’t exactly interested in running. She was definitely interested in getting to know Patrick and he soon caught on to her plan. We all know how this love story probably ended. They dated of course and recently found themselves having a fabulous destination wedding in Charleston at the Historic Rice Mill. That’s right, I have another Rice Mill wedding in Charleston for you and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
My Favorite Venue And A Perfect Winter Day.
The Rice Mill is definitely one of my favorite venues in Charleston. Have I said that enough? Kerry and Patrick had a classy and elegant wedding on December 5th of last year. The use of poinsettia and gold in their decor added just a hint of Christmas to this winter wedding. Beth at Wildflowers Inc did a spectacular job, (as usual), on the flowers. The use of gold throughout the decor was just the perfect touch and the gold on the back of Kerry’s dress really tied it all together. Charleston doesn’t really have a winter season so the decor really made it feel like it might be cold outside, but still had a beautiful warmth to it.
A First Look With A Surprise…
After much deliberation, Kerry and Patrick decided on doing a first look at White Point Gardens and I think it was a highlight of the day for sure. Kerry and Patrick’s first look was definitely unique, especially because Patrick decided to play and sing Kerry a song. This was a surprise to us all and a perfect intimate moment together for the two of them that they’ll always remember! I love when couples bring their own unique elements and talents to their wedding!
Their ceremony on the back deck of the Rice Mill was filled with lots of love, tears and laughter….as a ceremony should be. It could not have been more perfect. The whole rest of the evening was just a chill good time (with some dancing mixed in) with their family and friends…I don’t think they would have had it any other way.
Take a look!
