It’s not every day I get to do a portrait session for high school seniors, but when I was contacted by Hannah’s mother a while back about doing some senior photos—I was pretty thrilled. Being a senior in high school is such an exciting time in a person’s life. At least for me it was. I was getting out of that place and moving away from drama, math I’d never use, and horrible tests. For me it was about becoming an adult and doing whatever I wanted to. In retrospect that was a bit silly of me, but it was my reality. I didn’t have too much planned other than college and after that, I wasn’t so sure. I was the type of kid that didn’t know what to major in until second year of college and still wasn’t sure. I like way too many things! Hannah on the other hand has it all figured out! She is super smart and has mapped out her journey which will include going to USC for Biology and then med school! I love it! It’s great to see someone with goals and a plan to meet those goals right out of high school! Hannah took me on a golf cart journey around her beautiful neighborhood where we found glorious spots to stop and take photos. When I arrived at her house and she told me about the look she was going for….she pretty much had me at I made a flower crown and I would like to bring my Harry Potter books along. The second I heard those things I knew this shoot was going to be a blast. While enduring a bumpy ride in the woods, we chatted about school and music (we like some of the same bands). This chick is pretty cool! All in all it was a great time hanging out and getting to take some photos that I believe might just be my favorites so far this year!
