My favorite venue!
It seems like I’ve been spending a lot of time at the Rice Mill these days. I had two weddings there at the end of last year, a bridal session this month (stay tuned for that post) and a brunch wedding this month. It’s okay because it’s truly becoming one of my favorite Charleston venues. Charleston has a lot of great wedding venues. I could really list a good many here that are my favorite but the Rice Mill is just so unique and it’s on the water. You can’t beat that.
A lovely brunch wedding.
I first met Carrie and Jeremy over the internet when they came across my wedding contest. They were one of the 5 couples vying for votes to win. While they did not win my contest they still decided to go ahead and book me anyway, which I was thrilled about. Clearly, I was the winner in this because they are one of the sweetest couples and had a super fun brunch wedding. How cool is that? I’m used to weddings that last 8 hours late into the evening but their’s had me finishing up my job around 5pm. Very unusual—but I loved it! Brunch happens to be Carrie and Jeremy’s favorite meal and I love that they included that in their wedding. The couple lives in Virginia and knew they wanted a destination wedding. After a visit to Charleston, they knew it was the place they wanted to get married. Carrie says, “we love the charm, old southern feel, and amazing food that Charleston offers”. Jeremy is a chef so that part about food is a bit important I imagine. Their day was calm and filled with joy as they shared vows, exchanged rings, sealed it all with a kiss and celebrated with their friends and family over brunch.
