A slightly rustic, DIY Wedding at Pepper Plantation

November 5, 2013

I met Meg and Robbie at Atlanta Bread Company earlier this year to talk about their adorable July wedding at Pepper Plantation. They were super sweet and easy to talk to. After discussing the details of their wedding and finding out they were interested in doing a “first look,” I just knew by the end of the meeting I was going to love photographing their wedding. Last year I had a couple of weddings out at Pepper each with their own uniqueness and this one was no different, it was quite unique. Meg and Robbie’s wedding was on a hot rainy day in July. The Spring/Summer of this year was met with unusually rainy days that lasted weeks at a time. It definitely made wedding season a bit tricky for everyone. For Meg and Robbie the rain stopped just in time for their ceremony. It could not have been more perfect timing.  Meg, along with some help, created most of the decor for her shabby chic-esque DIY wedding. I was blown away by the ridiculously cute centerpieces complete with vases that were painted on the inside. Their ceremony was so meaning-ful and personal. One of those ceremonies where I found myself tearing up. Nothing like trying to look through a camera lens with blurry tear filled eyes. That happens so rarely with me, but this year has been THE year of weddings making me tear-up. What’s happening to me? 🙂 So yeah, super cute couple, crafty fun wedding, and adorable peach colored ombre cake…take a look
